DoorDash Review Delivers Local Goods to Your Door Free Delivery on First Order

What do you do at the end of the day when your family is hungry and incessantly whining, "We want to eat," on a school night? Especially, when you're in the middle of helping the children with their homework or you're just plain tired from working all day or driving carpool and don't have the strength or mental energy to prepare a nutritious meal for your kids? Instead of telling them to have a bowl of cereal or whipping up a box of macaroni and cheese (yeah, I admit I've done both before), why not try something new, different and delicious?

Without leaving your house or even setting foot in your kitchen to cook, you simply tap the DoorDash app on your smartphone or use your laptop/desktop computer to order freshly prepared takeout food from a nearby restaurant to be delivered to your door. Almost like magic, in 45 minutes or less in most cases, you'll have dinner on the table without stressing out.

Now operating in more than 25 markets, DoorDash recently launched in Southern California and is now available in Los Angeles, Orange County and the San Diego areas. Not only does it take just a couple of minutes to sign up via your computer or download the app to Android or iOS smartphones, all its screens are easy to navigate.

Once set up, to place your order all you do is type in your zip code when prompted and you'll see all the local restaurants near you from which you may have food delivered. You can even search by different categories within your local area to narrow down your choices. Then, watch via the app, as your order is tracked from receipt to preparation to delivery.

I live in L.A. and just had the opportunity to try this service out for the first time myself on two different days with neighborhood restaurants Veggie Grill and Pico Kosher Deli. Long story short is after quickly ordering with my iPhone and submitting payment, less than an hour, later smiling and courteous DoorDash delivery people delivered both freshly-prepared, delicious meals to our house. Eat your food straight out of the bag or do what I did and creatively plate your menu choices for a beautiful and appetizing presentation.

3 Ways DoorDash Stands Apart From Similar Services

Speed - DoorDash advanced technology allows them to contact the merchant and assigns a Dasher nearby who waits while your order is prepared. As soon as the food is ready, your delivery person dashes to bring freshly-made food to your doorstep.

Selection - DoorDash has the largest selection of food, including many affordable family-friendly options, with hundreds of chain and mom-and-pop restaurants of all types available in every market from which you can choose and order your favorites.

Service - DoorDash never compromises on customer service and all their friendly dashers follow a certain protocol. Not only are you able to order from either your smartphone or desktop, delivery is prompt and your meal arrives ready to serve.

Dinnertime is the most important time of the day for families. In fact, study after study prove that families who eat dinner together at home regularly usually have much less daily life drama than those who don't sit down at least once a day and enjoy some quality time together unwinding.
