Family Holiday Fun

Thanks to an amazing event hosted by Club MomMe and South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach, California, my family had the opportunity to experience Adventure to Santa at DreamWorks DreamPlace. This was most definitely quite different from what I remember as a kid about going to visit Santa Claus. As the day unfolded, we could not have imagined a more fun and festive way to kick off the holiday season.

Upon arrival, our group of mom bloggers and our families were greeted warmly and given Shrek and Princess Fiona green ears and matching wristbands. This distinguished us as VIP guests, ensuring us spots inside the magnificent DreamWorks DreamPlace House where we would eventually go and then catch a sleigh to visit the North Pole to meet Santa in person along with his very kind and hardworking elves.

The festivities continued with a beautiful and tasty breakfast with food and drink that both the kids and their doting parents enjoyed. Our hostesses were so attentive from the moment we arrived. Actually, I was particularly impressed how they immediately noticed when the little ones had finished their breakfasts so they could escort them to the arts & craft table. There, Yobi and Macy's had so generously provided everything to decorate a foam gingerbread man as well as paper and pencils so the children could write letters to Santa.

A colorful prop of a Shrek and Donkey all decked out for Christmas was on display, the perfect backdrop for some great holiday photos. As we boarded the sleigh that awaited us, little did we know that this was just the beginning of our holiday virtual simulator adventure. Thanks to DreamWorks magical special effects, in a matter of minutes we found ourselves flying through the air in the midst of being transported from sunny Southern California to the freezing and snowy North Pole.

You never saw a more ecstatic bunch of kids than this group, as we sat on Santa's sleigh along with Shrek and his famous donkey sidekick. To add to the realism, the journey was bumpy at times as snow gently fell around us which created even more anticipation of what was coming next.

This journey was truly unforgettable for both the kids and adults, all the way to the end of the ride when we got off the sled. The door opened and there he was awaiting us with arms opened wide...Santa!

The fun and festivities continued with the chance for our group to get some really awesome pics with Santa. Thanks to the $35 photo package provided by DreamWorks DreamPlace, we all looked our very best. As you can see from the images throughout this post, pictures don't lie and every shot turned out great.

We wrapped our fun-filled day with a smooth train ride home. In fact, as soon as we arrived back at the station aboard the brightly colored choo-choo train, the kids were asking for another ride! Last but not least, the children were thrilled to receive goody bags filled with treats from South Bay Galleria, Macy's and of course DreamWorks DreamPlace.
