Special Olympics SoCal 2015 Returns to Cal State Long Beach in June #LA

Get ready to be inspired by the most extraordinary athletic youth around. Special Olympics Southern California 2015 Summer Games returns to Cal State Long Beach in the Los Angeles area, June 13-14. http://www.sosc.org/summergames. Athletes from as far south as San Diego to Santa Barbara to San Bernardino will participate.

The public, including families and kids, are invited to attend this special weekend-long event, where more than 2,000 volunteers and 1,100 athletes with intellectual disabilities will compete for gold, silver or bronze medals. 

Sports include Aquatics, Athletics (Track & Field), Basketball, Bocce, Golf, and Gymnastics. This is the second largest Special Olympics competition held each year, at no cost to them or their families. Tickets are free to the event.
