Sukkot September 18-27 Jewish Holiday of Gratitude for Bountiful Fall Harvest

Celebrations

Yom Kippur ended Saturday night. Right now my family is putting on all the final touches so we can start celebrating the harvest and the Jewish holiday of Sukkot starting tonight. This is a week-long festival when we rejoice in nature's bounty and eat outside with friends and family in temporary structures called Sukkahs. My teens and I have been decorating our sukkah and cooking up a storm for the many meals we'll be hosting during this celebration, which is my favorite holiday of the year.

Don't you just love these colorful, pretty fruit marzipan candies that one of our guests (thanks, Estee!) just dropped off at my house?
Happy Sukkot &

Chag Sameach
