Yesterday I celebrated the release of Modern Family - Season 4 on Blu-ray and DVD by going to a special Fox Home Entertainment promotional event at Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California, overlooking the Pacific Ocean on a gorgeous fall day. There I got to pose with two of my favorite Modern Family characters: Phil and Claire Dunphy. As you can see from the picture for my glamor shot I sat on a real Phil bus ad bench but the two actors were actually cardboard cutouts.

For those who aren't already avidly following this hilarious comedy, Modern Family is true to life and all about the dysfunctional family dynamic. That's something I think just about all of us can relate to since what family doesn't have its unique indiosyncracies? Come on, really -- as a friend of mine once pointed out, every family has a crazy or two. You'll be laughing at the follies of the Pritchett and Dunphy brood in Season 4 and quite likely, since you'll be reflecting on your personal experiences, chuckling about your own real-life family comedy-drama.

The 3-disc Blu-ray set I received for review includes all 24 episodes from Season 4, plus 8 special feature bonuses including a Gag Reel.
