Allergy Face Teen Makeup Tips from Origins & Zyrtec Teen Tuesday Post by Rebecca Elspas

Teen Tuesday

Yeah. I know I've been MIA (missing in action) for a number of weeks now. Truth is, the next day after coming home from summer camp we jetted off for a 9-day family vacation to Iceland. Then, still under the influence of jet lag, I had to get back into the routine of life as a high school junior as soon as I got home. I've also been busy starting and writing for my own new blog called My Life x3, since I'm a triplet.

Don't worry you'll still get to see a new weekly Teen Tuesday column here on Mommy Blog Expert  -- so keep reading, because you definitely don't want to miss those. But if you want to hear about my day-to-day ramblings, you'll want to check out and subscribe to my new blog too.

Anyway....I'm finally back with a new Teen Tuesday post. This one is about the Origins Makeover beauty event I recently attended with my Mom as a guest of Zyrtec. Here goes...

Last Sunday morning I woke up, at my friend's house. All that was going through my head then was the thought that I felt sick. My nose was beet red and my eyes were puffed up like marshmallows. Finally, I realized why. Hello allergy season 2013 --Boy have I not missed you!

Anyway, on that groggy day last week, my mom came to pick me up. I was thinking, with my tired and dirty-feeling face, I was bound to go home and just have a miserable day being allergic. How wrong I was.

That frown on my face turned upside down when Mom surprised me. She told me she was taking me to get my makeup done with her blogger friends who cover beauty at a mall I often hang out at with my own friends. I couldn't be happier to have the chance to clean up my sickly face from all its allergy signs and to look prettier, too!

I arrived at the Macy's Origins counter in Century City where the event was held, and sat down at the beauty bar. Right away I was greeted by the friendly and beautiful Rebekah George, makeup expert and Allergy Face spokeswoman for Zyrtec, an allergy medicine brand.

It was so cool to meet Rebekah as she is a celebrity, known as a beauty, fashion and healthy lifestyle expert for ten years. In fact, you may recognize her captivating smile because she's appeared on national TV shows like The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Doctor's, Inside Edition, The Early Show and more.

I was treated to a complete Origins makeover and consultation with Rebekah while an Origins makeup artist revived my sleepy skin. Both talented women shared some great tips on winning the war against allergic face, giving me advice on how to fix up all the redness and puffyness caused by seasonal pollens and other allergents in the air right now as summer turns into fall.

This was my first experience with Origins, which is a gorgeous organic makeup brand. When the magic was done and my makeup artist finished redoing my face, I looked in the mirror.

Wow... I've never seen my face any brighter. This was the ultimate transformation right before my eyes!
