Just released this spring on DVD, A Dark Truth (2012) simply put is a dark action thriller film about multi national corporate greed. The plot centers around a deadly coverup and an attempt to dominate over rebels and the every day people that live in the Eucador jungle and to control these innocent people's rights to life sustaining water. 

Keep in mind that there are some really bloody and violent scenes -- more than necessary in my opinion -- and this movie is rated R so it's definitely for a mature audience. Still this is worth watching just to see the truly amazing performances by Andy Garcia (Ocean's Thirteen and nominee for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for The Godfather Part III), Forest Whitaker Repo Men and Oscar winner for his portrayal as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland and Golden Globe nominee Eva Longoria (TV's Desperate Housewives).

This is a dramatization about eco terrorism in South America and what real-life big companies sometimes will do for money, even if it involves robbing, oppressing and murdering innocent foreigners in their own homelands and cutting off their natural water supply.

In the end will truth prevail in this movie? That's the question that you'll be pondering as you watch this picture sitting on the edge of your seat all the way to the climax and resolution of this film.
