Five Really Fabulous Bloggers - Enter to WIN $1000 to Celebrate a Friend

I’ve only been mommy blogging for about two years.  Even still, it’s really tough for me to narrow my list down to just five bloggers who have influenced me most.  In all truthfulness in the short time I’ve been blogging – after a career in media relations that spanned over three decades -- I’ve encountered many more amazing bloggers than a mere handful. Nevertheless, I’ll share with you five of my fave blogs, though I can’t number them from one to five since I absolutely adore them all.

This high quality content blog started out simply being my parenting go-to source for learning about how to keep my kids safe in the Internet world.  From the day I started subscribing to this blog’s feed, I’ve acquired much more knowledge on kids and technology than I had ever hoped and it has made a real difference in my own family’s life.  For sure, there is no hi tech topic that involves children that this blog hasn’t addressed at one time or another and I really like that it keeps up on new issues and trends as they emerge.  In fact, I’ve become such an involved reader of this blog that I have been able to develop a personal relationship with the founder and have been one of this blog’s Online Certified Moms for about a year.

Jennifer James, a mommy blogger who founded the mom’s social community, Mom Bloggers Club, has the most energy of anyone I know.  Her blog is a must-read for me as a mom who blogs because her content talks about the frank realities of mom blogging as a business.  Few mom bloggers have the intelligence, foresight, and bravery Jennifer has when it comes to sharing knowledge and teaching the skills that we ned to be successful in this arena.  Jennifer’s discussions on gaining respect from brands and being fairly compensated for your work, though you may be a mom working at home, always draw a lot of comments.  Her blog is engaging, and I love reading it and leaving comments.

This blog is written by a mom who has triplets plus one more close in age just like I do.  The main difference is her kids aren't teens yet, but my are. Whenever I'm feeling the triple overload of dealing with triplets while also mommy blogging this is the one I read for some comic relief.  I don't have half the sense of humor that this mommy has so I always find her way out and wacky comments and observations about life so refreshing.  If you're a mom and you feel like you're going over the deep end with kids, Buried With Kids will provide you with a good laugh.

Melissa Garcia, who works outside the home plus has her own very popular mommy blog that she writes at night -- all while juggling two kids, and an ill husband -- has been a beacon of inspiration from the day I started my blog.  By watching her on Internet TV in the past and continuing to subscribe to her coupon savings alert feeds up to today, I have learned so much about not only blogging but how to save big money when shopping for my family.  The first time she emailed me back personally to respond to a question I had, Consumer Queen had me hooked.

He may be the only man on my list of five, but I try to read Jeff's entire Twitter feed almost every day.  His posts are all about getting the most from social media and he keeps outdoing himself whenever he publishes another blogpost. It's a guess, but I think I probably retweet his tweets more than any other person I follow.

Don't forget to enter the 50 Fabulous Wishes contest for a chance to win $1,000 to celebrate a friend with a refreshing attitude about looking and feeling fabulous. I was selected for this Tropicana Trop50 sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do. I received compensation to use and facilitate my post.
