I can't seem to say it often enough: smartphones are indispensible in juggling our busy family and work lives. The problem is these communication gadgets can also be a challenge to actually use unless one's hands are both free. I know for one, as a mother of four kids born in a year, my hands were rarely idle. As I remember, I almost never was able to pull out my cell phone and use it easily when the kids were little. In fact, back when I was learning the ropes of parenting, I routinely dropped my phone fumbling for it and was lucky it never shattered.

Granted my toddlers have all grown into teenagers. Still, I think this new smartphone -- with all its button controls strategically located on the back -- is a real gem of a find for us moms with kids of every age who are forever multi-tasking, trying to do it all without missing a beat.

This unique detail makes it a great phone for grabbing with one hand. Whether turning it off/on, adjusting the volume or controling the speaker, for the first time it's possible to do any of those functions single handedly with ease.

Whoever came up with that brilliant button location must have kids, I'm guessing.
